Media Training

media_training

Interviews are usually undertaken in circumstances that are either voluntary (promotional) or involuntary (defensive). Whatever the circumstance, an interview that is well-conducted can be of great benefit, be it for raising awareness, enhancing reputation, driving interest, or simply convincing the audience/readership of a point of view. Done wrong, however, an interview can be harmful, not just at the time, but also later, when people refer back to it.

Interviews should not be undertaken unless it is going to achieve a specific objective. The Englander Knabe & Allen approach to media training helps ensure that an objective is attained. The value of media training is recognized by many seasoned professionals who take it as a matter of course. Our training is designed for both amateur media delegates and those who have done many interviews or have had media training before. Experienced actors/actresses, politicians and, of course, the CEOs of many Fortune 500 companies, all take media training periodically. We know because we train them.

Englander Knabe & Allen media trainers have prepared numerous public figures for some of the nation’s most knowledgeable press and formidable on-camera interviews. Our media training is custom-designed in consultation with the client to ensure that specific needs are met. Our goal is to prepare people to deal with real reporters in a real world. Simply put: we build self-confidence where needed and endow clients with the skills to control an interview such that they can maximize any upside and avoid any pitfalls.
