Englander and Associates announced today that veteran aviation and public relations executive Paul A. Haney will join the strategic communications and public affairs firm in November as a partner helping aerospace, airline and other travel-related companies develop and execute strategies to achieve their goals.
The Los Angeles Business Journal ranked Englander and Associates is the fastest growing independent public relations firm, and the 10th largest PR firm, in Los Angeles County.
"We are fortunate to have Paul bring his extensive experience in the news, airline, aerospace and airport industries," said Harvey Englander, President of Englander and Associates. "In collaboration with our other partners, Paul will lead a specialized practice providing a wide range of client services including advocacy and government relations, issues campaigns, media relations, crisis communications, and community relations."
Haney comes to Englander and Associates from Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) where he served as deputy executive director for the City of Los Angeles agency that owns and operates Los Angeles International Airport and three others airports. In eight years at LAWA, Haney´s responsibilities included oversight of operations, construction and maintenance, security, air service development, and public and community relations.
"I am deeply impressed with the Englander and Associates team and their ability to get results for demanding clients," said Haney. "I have known several EA partners for many years and look forward to collaborating with them for the success of our clients."
Before working at LAWA, Haney spent 22 years at American Airlines and Lockheed Martin Corporation in corporate communications, business development, marketing, and airline operations. He also had a key role in establishing Lockheed Martin´s award-winning Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program beginning in 1995.
Haney has a journalism degree from the University of Kansas. He worked for Gannett Newspapers and United Press International as a reporter and bureau chief before joining American Airlines at its corporate headquarters. For more information on Englander and Associates go to www.englanderpr.com
